THE NEW HOLSTER

Paul found a genuine western custom holster maker and hired him to make a holster for his 4570.
Very happy with the results.

MISC PIX AT THE AIRSTRIP

A view from Gary's powered parachute
A trike takes off

Denny on his way up.

Starting takeoff.
Garey C. after a nice flight.

Gorgeous from up here.

Denny calls Jim to tell him we're having great air for flying.
Nice landing, Denny.

A very happy pilot.

The powered paraglider floats on air.

A fairly large lizard keeps me company on the airstrip.

Holy cow.
Paul and Gary pack up the chute for another day.

A nice landing by Gary Kelderman.

Paul and Gary coming in.

A little finch finds a home in a prickly Saguaro.

Cheerful little guy on a big cactus.
Geeze, how can he perch up there?

POWERED PARAGLIDER 2

Looks fun, in an insane sorta way.

THE POWERED PARAGLIDER

I can't believe how low he can fly. Right down the wash!

In the air, he flings sideways and around like a roller coaster!!!

In the air, he pulls his feet up. Gosh that cactus seems close.....

He has to run for takeoff!

Here he is: on his feet, powered by a propeller strapped to his back! (engine sounds like a chain saw)

A SUCCESSFUL SHEEP "HUNT"

Desert flowers in bloom were what we thought we would photograph today!
Nice colors in the desert
Then we spotted this beautiful desert bighorn ram on a high hilltop.

A beautiful ewe keeps an eye on me.

The big guy with a full curl watches from above.

I am very psyched to get a photo of the bighorn with twin peaks in the background!

GLASS BLOWING IN SAN DIEGO

I had a very special treat while in San Diego: taking my first glass blowing lesson with John and Dan. Definitely a team effort.
The resulting vase was gorgeous, I couldn't believe it. Dan is the only person known to etch dichroic glass and affix it to the blown glass pieces. I call this the "Iris Piece"

Marty (owner of the awesome glass blowing studio) and a very happy Mary

Whew, I really had to blow hard to get that first little bubble of air in the molten glass.
Then into the "glory hole" for a "flash."

SAN DIEGO WITH Z KRIPKE

Walk with the Papillon Picnic group in Balboa Park. I'm on the far left with the carriage in a Pap t-shirt.
Z and Dan: what can I say? The absolute best hostess and host you could ever ask for!

A joyful Bella runs on the beach.
Mary and the two little Belles, life is good.

Bella smiling at the beach.

Bella, Breezey and Barney: official greeters at the Kripke home window.

Z is graceful at handling 4 dogs on the beach.

Berry and Zena each have their own chairs at the Kripke table. They sit politely and wait for a bit of healthy food.

Z with her 35 year old Double Yellow Head Amazon parrot, "Barney" (who is a girl)

Enjoying watching Z at the computer while the girls rest from our walk.
Breezey's new jewels (Z insisted she must have them)

Pap on our walk in Balboa park spots a squirrel!

Seals in La Jolla cove: Mom kisses her baby

Very happy seal.

Pelicans and daises on our La Jolla beach walk.

Beautiful Lady Canterbury models the crystal necklace.

The Pillow Princess (Bella) wants to try them on.

Mary observing paragliders at the sea front paragliding park.

LaJolla Cove: not sure if it's the prettiest place on earth, but it surely seemed like it today.

Greyhound rescue in Balboa Park.

Berry and Zena on the beach.

Beautiful Berry watches the sun glistening on the waves.

Mary and Bella enjoying the pacific coast beach.

Bella and Breezey on their walk in Balboa Park.

Dining with the dogs in a very dog friendly city, San Diego.

Barney the Amazon Parrot kindly accepts Bella and Breezey into her home.

The perfect dining experience.

Bella soaks up the sun while Dan sits comfortably in his reading chair.

I just love this shot of Z, Zena and Berry in La Jolla cove.
