EASTER BLOOMS IN THE DESERT

DESERT ANIMALS

The sparrow and the iquana were wild (not caged) critters.

THE HUMMINGBIRDS

The hummingbird aviary was crowded with people, but we didn't really mind. It was fun watching children mesmerized with the little flying jewels.

Notice the little hummer on her nest. She had just started building it this morning. It is held together with spider webs!!

MORE ARIZONA BIRDS

DESERT BIRDS

It was wonderful to be able to view the birds in the aviaries up close. I could spend days there photographing them.
and I FINALLY got a good shot of the Gambel's Quail!!

TUCSON

We are now in Tucson, the first time in about 20 years. It has grown a lot, but is still beautiful. Saquaro National Park still takes my breath away. The Sonoran Desert Museum was still lovely, but not quite as wonderful as we had remembered it to be.

The ride in by motorcycle, however was awesome...truly awesome. I am so looking forward to just joy riding tomorrow.
