Welcome to Brenda PPC Air force Oscar Award Ceremonies.

This black tie affair had cost cutting measures – no steak and shrimp as planned but sandwiches after ceremonies.

The Brenda PPC Air Force budget would not allow the usual Oscar statues.
Winners of each category will instead receive a a limited edition, soon-to-be-collectible, genuine printed certificate.

We’re eating afterward to limit the length of your acceptance speeches.
Please hold your applause until the end so that our fine dinner doesn’t get cold.
And drink up – the more you drink the better this will be!

Terry Ramaker for his “Now you see it now you don’t” disappearing helmet trick

The Winner: He’s actually doing a great job as a new PPC pilot, Terry Ramaker.

Category: Best Business Person of the Year
Nominees are:
Larry Campeau for giving wife Bonnie the business about a new PPC
Lars Gustavson for winning at Texas Holdem
Marjbritt Gustavson who won more than Lars ($300) at bingo
Gary Kelderman for his “rent a quad” business even though he doesn’t charge rental fees

WINNER: The only guy I’ve ever known to bring a quad to Arizona just for his friends to ride, Gary Kelderman.

Category: Best “I GETTING ONE OF THESE”
Nominees:
Larry Campeau for saying he will get a PPC by next year
Gary Kelderman for ordering a new SixChuter like the one of Denny’s he admires so much
Garey Cosentino for measuring and figuring how to put a new Razor into their trailer

THE WNNER: This guy spent nearly as much time on a quad as in the air - Garey Cosentino.

Lars Gustavson for providing dozens of tools since early January
Paul Fournier for portable grinders, steel cutters, and saws
Garey Cosentino for just the right zip ties or I would have been grounded
Gary Kelderman for John Deere wrenches

WINNER is: The first person I’ve known to take a welder on vacation, Paul Fournier

Category: Best Change of Scene
Nominees:
Wanda Irvine for being constantly on the move since October from Minnesota to Hawaii to Mexico and THEN moving from one RV to another

Jerri Kelderman for camping in her RV THIS YEAR at Plamosa Road, at Yuma, at Black Rock, at California, at Desert Gold, at Chandler, at Goodyear, and back to Black Rock!

The Winner: It’s rare in these Oscar Awards, but the judges awarded a tie - Jeri Kelderman and Wanda Irvine.

Category: Best Handicapped Golfer
Nominees are:
Paul Fournier for going desert golfing even though he’d rather watch paint dry,
Mary Sherrer who, though she has a grandson that plays more than Tiger Woods, had never played desert golf
Joann Cosentino who is the organizer and driver of many of our desert golf outings

WINNER IS: The Canadian who played well with the biggest handicap, using right handed clubs even though she’s left handed – Mary Sherrer.

Category: Best Copilot of the Year
