Two pretty unusual motorhomes...built by a couple of unusual guys.
I took a walk high on a neighboring hillside and had a great view of the only red RV in the park!
Gary and Jeri leave for Yuma.

BREEZEY'S SHADES

Can't go out in the desert without her shades, of course.

PAUL AND GARY IN THE AIR

Paul's flight with Gary Kelderman taken by Denny Mills.

PAUL'S FLIGHT

Paul's first powered parachute flight of the season with Gary was a great one. This little coyote was trying hard to avoid the big colorful bird overhead!
Denny Mills is flying alongside, while Garey and Joann glide about in their colorful new parachute.

MOTORCYCLE RIDE

Went on a great motorcycle ride yesterday with Gary and Jeri. The roads are so perfect for motorcycling. Long and straight, or winding through the mountains, your choice. We ended up in quartzsite at the Dairy Queen for an ice cream. The weather was just perfect for riding
I tried to capture a photo of the road with "dips", not a great job but you get the idea.
Gary has a fantastic 2009 Harley screamin eagle, my favorite colors.

POWERED PARACHUTES

Paul had his first powered parachute ride of the season with Gary Kelderman. I came to the airfield to get some pix, but they landed in a different location. I did get a few shots of Garey Cosentino's gorgeous parachute. Denny Mills came in for a landing while I was waiting as well.
As I was leaving the airfield, I happened across a very nice man with his 2 (8) week old Chihuahua puppies, Chile and Pepper. Adorable!!!

MORE GEOCACHING

Many thanks to Denny Mills for sending his photos of the geocaching experience. I was very excited to be the first to find one of the caches, an all time first for me! My cache was at the base of a breathtaking saquaro cactus, a lovely old senior that protected the cache well. I could get hooked on this sport!

GEOCACHING

Now this is FUN STUFF. We got together today with 3 other couples to explore the desert and try some geocaching. Geocaching is an awesome pastime in which you find coordinates (usually from the internet), http://www.geocaching.com/about/
program them into your GPS, then head out to locate the treasure! We had a ball finding several neat boxes full of odd goodies. We left a folding pair of scissors and a bottle cap good for a free soda, haha. We didn't take anything away from the caches.
The caches are often left in interesting or very scenic areas, so it is a double treasure!
Paul's new motorcycle GPS (Garmin Zumo) did a super job of navigating the desert trails.
The top photo is a mexican coin found in one of the caches.

EXPLORING IN THE DESERT

Ah, it was great to be back in the desert on a 4-wheeler! Paul, Gary Kelderman and I spent several hours exploring and driving the RZRs FAST. Very fun. The desert is beautiful, quite green for this time of year.

We did some steep climbs (steep enough so our RZR was losing traction) and steep descents...love those mountain passes!

I enclosed a short video of Paul checking the depth of a mine we came across.
