Driving the wheeler on the street

Our 4 wheeler is now registered to go on and off road in Arizona. Paul has been having a ball driving on the streets of Yuma. You won't see this in Maine!

Anniebelle's new booties

Anniebelle developed sore cracked foot pads shortly after we arrived. Winn promptly sewed up some quilted "booties" for her! She wears them happily. Thanks, Winn!

Desert Bighorns

It's always when you don't bring your good camera that you see something spectacular: two large Bighorh rams were the highlight of my day, sauntering up the hill in front of us. These were the first Bighorns of our travels in AZ. Really truly gorgeous animals.

YUMA DESERT

Yuma has it's own "Little Grand Canyon" : a nifty geological wonder in the desert. Quite a deep eroded channel, we walked a few hundred feet into it's damp and cool twists and turns.
John and Nancy did a great job of navigating through the desert.

YUMA JEEP RIDE

Yesterday we went on a really super jeep ride through the desert with Nancy and John Alquire, along with John and Winn in their jeep. Here is the view from John and Nancy's campsite along the Colorado river. Gorgeous, huh.

ARRIVAL IN YUMA

FINALLY IN YUMA! Paul and John enjoy the Arizona sunshine. Notice the Gila mountains in the background. Paul is already wearing his western hiking hat.
