LONG STRAIGHT ROADS

The highways are long and straight. I'm afraid Paul will fall asleep driving but so far so good....

WINDMILL FARM IN TEXAS

Not a great photo with my little point and shoot. This windmill farm stretched from north to south as far as the eye could see. Multi purpose land use here. Farmland, oil wells and windmills making good use of the Texas landscape.

DESERT FIRE

while in Texas we were curious what was causing the smoke ahead. We were surprised to find a desert fire with a service truck right in the middle of it.

MAINE TO YUMA

Leaving Maine! We had about a foot of snow on the ground. Paul had been up since 3:00 AM the morning before plowing snow.

I looked at the GPS which told us we had about 3200 miles to go to our destination...
