DESERT FLOWERS IN JOSHUA TREE

Notice the climbers on the big rock.

MORE JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

Paul is happy after the hike in.

An amazing oasis, probably caused by bird or animal droppings with Palm seeds inside.

My hero, holding up the rock so it won't crash down on me. :)

The beautiful Palm oasis in the desert.

The oasis shows in the distance at last.

Keys West view, just stunning.

Spiny Lizard

Karen and Denny take a break after our hike into the oasis.

JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

Skull Rock is one of many bizarre rock formations in the park.
a HUGE dry desert , Joshua tree in the foreground (actually a type of Yucca) and a snowy peak in the background. Keys West is quite a vantage point.
A Joshua tree forest in the desert.

Joshua tree up close, dried blossoms gone by.

Joshua trees and rock hills.

Sure looks like a tree to me.

Wierd rock formations and desert flowers.

Denny, Karen and Paul as we start on our hike to Fortynine Palms Oasis. (just 1.5 miles?????)

Natural desert Palms at the oasis.

Denny explores the oasis.

Denny hiking.

Our chauffer, always smiling!

Up close and personal: Denny and the Chuckwalla.

Chuckwalla, giving me the "eye."

I like Chuckwallas.
